this is huge, you have such dedicated fans!

i can't wait to see your future projects

(+2)

Thank you, I'm always feel blessed to have the support that I do! Lots of new games are coming now that Girlfriend Saves the City is done and Monsoon is nearing completion. I expect to have 3 new games uploaded before March 2024!

(+1)

huge!

I love how none of your game is alike another. You should feel proud as a game developer!

(+2)

Thank you, trying different things with gameplay and style is really important to me even if some of my ideas work out better than others. I've been trying to set up a system this year where my projects get a trial run with smaller updates before becoming something bigger and more dedicated. Girlfriend Saves the City was the first game made in this format and though it didn't quite make it to big game status, it did receive some expansions to take it beyond the intended "small game" scope! I hope that this type of approach satisfies both those who want me to experiment and those who want big games that they can play with for hours.

I definitely enjoyed the expansions on "GSC" and I feel this is great to improve aspects of a game, based on feedback from fans.

I feel as your approach to your games is not only a breath of fresh air but also something to look forward to!

While short and sweet they bring out the best in each mechanic ( even if not right away tho), a larger scale game would garter more fans, but better to fully check "what feels right" as to not only maintain but improve quality, also to have fun with the project.

Working on the same thing for too long drains my energy too much, so I like to have something to switch to and reset my mood. I enjoy the system of small games with 2 week updates and big games with 4 week updates that I came up with for this year. Small games that are popular can get promoted to big games, while those that are not popular won't need a big time investment to finish. By February, Monsoon will be finished and I'll have 3 candidates for a new big game to replace it!

Wow. Like, wow wow. I just finished this game, all 107 scenes, and now I'm gonna have to play it all over again! Animation looks absolutely fantastic, and that's a whole lot more events than the missing 4 dates I was expecting, even if some are dialogue.

I'm really happy that you liked it! A huge amount of older events got touched up too, so there's a lot of new and updated content. This is certainly the biggest update that any of my games are ever going to have because Hexagum has been animating sprites for a year and I added everything all at once.

Hype!

Oh sweet Animations look great!

Hexagum is a very skilled animator and I just had to deviate from my plans for this collaboration!

(+1)

Well good to hear that the collab is working out. Oh also started a side project a hentai manga about a couple isakaied into a fantasy world, except the husband is turned into a shape shifting insect swarm. When the first couple of pages are done I'll send em. see what you think. I think you'd like honeys design.

Eitherway what style of game was chosen for the next game?

Very happy to see that you're keeping up the writing! Sounds like an interesting setting!

Next will be a small test game for me to learn the Godot engine. It will be themed around a priestess supporting adventurers in a dungeon. After that, my next big game will be a chess roguelike. I also plan to finish Monsoon before February, and there will be another new game coming to replace it. Early polls for theme ideas for the February game and my other 2024 projects will start in the middle of this month.

Oh we were think of using that egine for our game, do tell me how it works out for you!

Also yep I'm still writing though this time it is for a hentai manga so yeah XD

also really like how you do interesting spins on normal games XD Chess Roguelike that I got to see.

Oh and when we get our game done I'll get you a steam key for free... Huh I can do that when its finished weird. or just the game file if you dont have steam. eitherway! always good to see you improving

I'm excited to try Godot, it seems very powerful and Unity was getting very stagnant even before the announcement to the point where I didn't want to update it anymore because every new patch just broke things.

Sure, I'd love to give your game a try. No need for a key, I can pay for it.

(+1)

Thank you for listening to your fans, you are on the right track, I hope for more of your projects in the future and one thing, will it occur to you one day to upload your projects to Steam?

(+1)

Steam costs money and has stricter content rules than Itch does. I may try it someday, but I think it's more likely that I'll branch out to some other website first. I don't like having too many places to watch and maintain things on.

(+1)

great And a question, even if I only finished 2 of your games, I notice that they are connected in the same universe or so it seems, if it were true, which would be the first chronologically?

(+1)

The timeline is somewhat loose, and a lot of the games overlap, but the general chronological order is:

  • Secrets of the Bastion
  • Girlfriend Saves the City
  • Monster Monsoon
  • Summer Sweepers

Psychic Archeology Agency and Split-Screen Adventures do not have a strong indicator for a place in the timeline, but they do take place within the same general time period. So far every game I made has at least a minor reference to or in at least one other. The "history" only spans a few years and I tried not to include too many elements that would canonize one of the endings for any of my games.

(+4)

This was going to be the last update, but my plans for this game have now been extended! It will receive a couple of bonus updates to fully animate everything and maybe add some extra features and events. I expect to finish developing Monster Monsoon before February. It will take the two week development slot from Girlfriend Saves the City.

I'm looking to move away from Unity, so expect to see a small game made in a new engine to test things out as my next project!

Very cool, I quite liked Monster Monsoon and a new project from you is always cool to see.
